Well I actually like this class so far. When I first saw Digital Rhetoric, I honestly had no idea what this class was going to be about. After being in class so far I find this class very intersting. I had never really thought about how we change the way we talk around different people, but when I actually thought about it I realized that I do it all the time. My most common groups that I talk to are: My family, My Close Friends, and my co-workers. I am different around my co-workers because they are comepletly different from the rest of the people I am around. Most of my work friends are from very different backgrounds than myself, and that leads to very interesting conversations at times. Overall I really think I will like this class, and I have high hopes that I will learn a lot in this class. - Russell B.
This class has the promise of being very exciting and insightful. Language is one of the main foundations of communication in our world and with the proliferation of computers and the world wide web the very foundation of language is evoloving. Alot of the stict structor that was, is being removed to alow for more fluid and consiste commnications. However sometimes it can be a bad thing, continuity and stability are lost in some aspect with the evoloution of our language. It seems like this class is going to delve in to the hows and whys of this very phenominon. - Ian Ginsberg
Didn't really know what to expect when I saw this this class come up with the name ENG220 thought it might be a typo? But, now that we've passed a day I can say this is going to be interesting. Though, I dislike writing, I do like to read. But, it doesn't seem like there is to much reading. Anywho, can't do much about it now.
this classis informitive and interesting digital rhetoric is a new word for me the class sound fun and i am looking forward to learn more about rhetoric and the Imac computer is self the first day was like any other first day intro to the class .
The first day was pretty quick although we were actually here until 1 oclock. First ever since Ive been to this school. You talk alot which is bad for me because I have the attention span of an accorn. You have alot of writting assignments that are pretty big. The biggest Ill ever write. Looking forward to learning something.
This class seems very promising. It does seem challenging and intense. There also appears to be something to do everyday, which is good. Most teachers preach that 8:00 - 1:00 is mandatory, however the class drags and it is boring. Fortunately this class at least looks to be planned from 8-1. So i guess i am looking forward to learning about the Mac, being able to use it, and being occupied for the whole time. I have no concerns, yet...
So far I think it will be a very interesting class. I looking forward to learning how to use all of the mac software will be fun. I have not used a mac in 15 years, so it will be a learning experience. I think the thing I am most concerned about is the papers.
Class is going great so far, its a lot of fun and im learning alot. I think this will be an extremely fun class because everything that we are going to be learning in the next few weeks all sounds like things that I would be interested in, and I cant wait to start to get into them.
I believe this class is a foundation for how many people should perceive things. Things go overlooked everyday and could be viewed in a different light. I also love English and all the diverse things that are incorporated into the subject. I am confident that I will learn a well amount from this class and will enjoy it. -Brian Williams Vice President of Players Club
Well I wasnt here on the first day of class... so far i'm kinda lost in what is needed to do and how. I guess u can say may understanding of the assignments is off but I think if i continue to listen and ask questons concerning these issues things for this class for me will be ok. I do realiz i really need help in writing papers so with the help I better myself.
well for me this is my first initial day and it should be very interesting. especially when it comes down to the projects that we will have to do.. I am into that stuff a lot. Hopefully I will be able to make some money off of what I will be learning.
I think this class is right on time for me with contemprorary writing skills. I enjoythe challenge and subjective teachings of how to truly gain the attention ofthe audience to whom you are addressing.
